Materials:
- Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ yarn (2 skeins or as required for your desired cowl length)
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Start by unrolling the yarn and locating the beginning of the yarn strand.
- Hold the yarn with your thumb and forefinger, leaving a tail of about 6-8 inches.
- Insert your hand into the loop at the end of the yarn strand to create a slip knot. Tighten the slip knot around your wrist.
- Slip your other hand through the loop, making sure the tail is on the outside and the working yarn is on the inside.
- With your second hand, reach through the loop and grab the working yarn. Pull it through the loop to create a new loop on your hand.
- Continue to make loops by reaching through each loop with your hand and pulling the working yarn through. Repeat this step until you have enough loops to achieve your desired cowl width. The number of loops you make will depend on your tension and the desired width.
- Once you have the desired width, hold the loops securely with one hand.
- Insert your other hand through the loops, grab the working yarn, and pull it through all the loops to create a new loop.
- Repeat steps 6 to 8 until you reach the desired length for your cowl. You can adjust the length based on how snug or loose you want the cowl to be around your neck.
- To finish, cut the working yarn, leaving a tail of about 6-8 inches. Insert the tail through the last loop and pull it tight to secure.
- Use the tails from the beginning and end to join the cowl into a loop. You can tie them together or use a yarn needle to sew them together.
- Trim any excess yarn tails.
- Your Bernat Alize EZ Cowl is now ready to wear!
