Let’s get started:
Begin by making a slip knot and then chain 30 stitches.
Join the last chain to the first chain with a slip stitch to form a ring. Be careful not to twist the chain.
Round 1: Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet.
Round 2: Chain 2 (counts as the first half double crochet), skip the next stitch, and work a front post double crochet around the next stitch. Repeat this pattern (skip one stitch, front post double crochet around the next stitch) all the way around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 2.
Rounds 3-10: Repeat Round 2.
Round 11: Chain 2, skip the next stitch, and work a front post double crochet around the next stitch. Then work a front post double crochet around the skipped stitch from Round 9. Repeat this pattern (front post double crochet around the next stitch, front post double crochet around the skipped stitch) all the way around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 2.
Rounds 12-17: Repeat Round 11.
Round 18: Chain 2, skip the next stitch, and work a front post double crochet around the next stitch. Then work a front post double crochet around the skipped stitch from Round 16. Repeat this pattern (front post double crochet around the next stitch, front post double crochet around the skipped stitch) all the way around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 2.
Rounds 19-24: Repeat Round 18.
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends using a yarn needle.
