Yellow Dog Bow

Materials needed:

Worsted weight yarn in yellow (or your preferred color)
Crochet hook size G/6 (4.0 mm)
Scissors
Yarn needle
Elastic or hair clip (optional)
Instructions:
Note: This pattern uses US crochet terminology.

Start by making a slipknot and chaining 11 stitches.
In the second chain from the hook, work a single crochet (sc).
Work a single crochet in each of the next 8 stitches.
In the last chain, work 3 single crochet stitches.
Continue working on the opposite side of the chain. Work a single crochet in each of the next 8 stitches.
Slip stitch into the first single crochet of the row to join.
Chain 1 stitch and turn your work.
Work a single crochet in each stitch around the bow. This will create a neat edge.
Slip stitch into the first single crochet of the row to join.
Fasten off your yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Fold the bow in the center, creating a bow shape. Use the long tail to sew the center of the bow together, securing it in place.
