ch: chain
st: stitch
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet

Pattern:
Base:
Start with your preferred color.
Ch 25 (or any number that is a multiple of 4 + 1).
In the 2nd ch from the hook, sc across. (24 stitches)
Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across. (24 stitches)
4-20 (or until the desired width is reached): Repeat Row 3.
Sides:
Ch 1, turn. Sc evenly along the sides of the rows. Work about 1 sc per row, making sure to maintain a consistent stitch count on each side.
When you reach the top of the bag, ch 1, turn, and work one more row of sc evenly across the top edge. This will create a neat and even edge for the bag.
Handles (Optional):
You can add handles or straps to your bag in various ways. Here are a few options:
Leather or Fabric Straps:
Cut two pieces of leather or fabric to the desired length for your handles.
Use a yarn needle and yarn to sew the ends of the handles to the sides of the bag securely.
Crochet Straps:
Ch a length that suits the desired handle length.
Sc across the chain, working in the back loop only for added durability.
Fasten off and sew the straps to the sides of the bag securely.
Closure (Optional):
You can add a closure to your bag for security. Here are a few options:
Magnetic Button:
Sew a small magnetic button to the inside of the bag, just below the top edge.
Sew the other half of the magnetic button to the front of the bag, aligning it with the one inside.
Zipper:
Sew a zipper to the top edge of the bag for a complete closure.
