Beanie

Materials you’ll need:

Worsted weight yarn (or any yarn of your choice)
Crochet hook (size appropriate for your yarn)
Scissors
Yarn needle
Pattern:

Start by making a slip knot and chaining the desired number of stitches. The number of stitches will depend on the size of the beanie and the gauge of your yarn. As a general guideline, for an adult-sized beanie, you can start with a chain of 70-80 stitches.
Once you have the chain, join the last stitch to the first stitch with a slip stitch to form a ring. Be careful not to twist the chain.
For the first round, crochet one chain stitch (acts as the first stitch) and then work single crochet stitches all around the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet to complete the round.
For the subsequent rounds, crochet one chain stitch and then work single crochet stitches in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet to complete the round. Repeat this round until your beanie reaches the desired length. You can try it on occasionally to check the fit.
To finish the beanie, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail through the yarn needle, insert the needle through the top loops of each stitch in the last round, and pull tight to close the opening. Secure the yarn and weave in any loose ends.
