Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn
- Crochet hook (size G/4.0mm or size recommended for your yarn)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Size: Adult medium (adjustments for larger or smaller sizes can be made by changing the hook size)
Pattern:
Note: This pattern uses US crochet terminology.
- Cuff: Chain 10. Row 1: Single crochet (sc) in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. (9 sc) Rows 2-22: Chain 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. (9 sc) Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, aligning the short edges. Slip stitch (sl st) through both layers to join the cuff. Fasten off and weave in ends.
- Hand: Join yarn to the top edge of the cuff. Round 1: Chain 1, sc evenly around the top edge of the cuff, placing approximately 2 sc in each row end. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (44 sc) Rounds 2-14: Chain 1, sc in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (44 sc) Fasten off and weave in ends.
- Thumb: Skip approximately 10 stitches from the join. Join yarn to the next stitch. Round 1: Chain 1, sc in the same stitch and in the next 6 stitches. (7 sc) Rounds 2-8: Chain 1, sc in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (7 sc) Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold the thumb in half lengthwise, aligning the short edges. Seam the edges together using the yarn tail and a yarn needle. Fasten off and weave in ends.
