Materials needed:
Worsted weight yarn in your desired color
Crochet hook (size G/4mm)
Scissors
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Buttons or other embellishments (optional)
Pattern:
Note: This pattern is worked in rounds.
Skirt:
Round 1: Start with a magic ring. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet here and throughout), work 11 double crochet into the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (12 stitches)
Round 2: Chain 3, work 2 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (24 stitches)
Round 3: Chain 3, work 1 double crochet in the next stitch, 2 double crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (36 stitches)
Continue increasing in this manner until the skirt reaches the desired length.
Bodice:
Switch to the contrasting color.
Round 1: Chain 2 (counts as 1 half double crochet here and throughout), work 1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (36 stitches)
Round 2: Chain 2, work 1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (36 stitches)
Repeat Round 2 until the bodice reaches the desired length.
Sleeves (make two):
Note: The number of stitches for the sleeves can be adjusted based on your preference.
Round 1: Attach yarn to one of the armholes. Chain 2, work 1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2.
Round 2: Chain 2, work 1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2.
Repeat Round 2 until the sleeves reach the desired length.
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
