Crochet Easter outfit

Materials needed:

Worsted weight yarn in your desired colors (main color for the dress, contrasting color for the trims)
Crochet hooks (size G/4mm for the dress, size F/3.75mm for the hat)
Scissors
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Buttons or other embellishments (optional)
Pattern:

Crochet Dress:
Note: This pattern is worked in rounds.

Skirt:
Round 1: Start with a magic ring. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet here and throughout), work 11 double crochet into the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (12 stitches)
Round 2: Chain 3, work 2 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (24 stitches)
Round 3: Chain 3, work 1 double crochet in the next stitch, 2 double crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3. (36 stitches)
Continue increasing in this manner until the skirt reaches the desired length.
Note: You can add additional rounds of plain double crochet stitches for a longer skirt.

Bodice:
Switch to the contrasting color.
Round 1: Chain 2 (counts as 1 half double crochet here and throughout), work 1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (36 stitches)
Round 2: Chain 2, work 1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (36 stitches)
Repeat Round 2 until the bodice reaches the desired length.
Note: You can add additional rounds for a longer bodice.

Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Optional: Attach buttons or other embellishments to the bodice or skirt as desired.

Crochet Hat:

Round 1: Start with a magic ring. Chain 2, work 10 double crochet into the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (10 stitches)
Round 2: Chain 2, work 2 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (20 stitches)
Round 3: Chain 2, work 1 double crochet in the next stitch, 2 double crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (30 stitches)
Round 4: Chain 2, work 1 double crochet in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 double crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (40 stitches)
Round 5-9: Chain 2, work 1 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (40 stitches)
Round 10: Switch to the contrasting color. Chain 1, work 1 single crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet. (40 stitches)
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
