Round 1: Make a magic ring.
Chain 1, work 6 single crochet into the magic ring. Pull the ring tight and slip stitch into the first single crochet to join. (6 stitches)

Round 2: Chain 1, work 2 single crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch into the first single crochet to join. (12 stitches)

Round 3: Chain 1, single crochet in the next stitch, work 2 single crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Slip stitch into the first single crochet to join. (18 stitches)

Round 4: Chain 1, single crochet in the next 2 stitches, work 2 single crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Slip stitch into the first single crochet to join. (24 stitches)
