Crochet Legwarmers Patterns

Basic Crochet Legwarmers:
Materials needed: Worsted weight yarn, crochet hook (size H/5mm)
Pattern:
Chain a multiple of 4 stitches, plus 2 additional stitches for turning.

Row 1: Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook, double crochet in each chain across. Turn.

Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as 1 double crochet), double crochet in the first stitch, double crochet in each stitch across. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 until the legwarmer reaches the desired length, usually around 12-15 inches. Finish off and weave in ends.

Ribbed Crochet Legwarmers:
Materials needed: Worsted weight yarn, crochet hook (size I/5.5mm)
Pattern:
Chain a multiple of 8 stitches, plus 2 additional stitches for turning.

Row 1: Half double crochet in the 3rd chain from the hook, half double crochet in each chain across. Turn.

Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as 1 half double crochet), front post half double crochet (FPhdc) in the next stitch, back post half double crochet (BPhdc) in the next stitch – repeat from * to * across, ending with a half double crochet in the last stitch. Turn.

Row 3: Chain 2 (counts as 1 half double crochet), BPhdc in the next stitch, FPhdc in the next stitch – repeat from * to * across, ending with a half double crochet in the last stitch. Turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the legwarmer reaches the desired length, usually around 12-15 inches. Finish off and weave in ends.

Lace Crochet Legwarmers:
Materials needed: Fingering weight yarn, crochet hook (size D/3.25mm)
Pattern:
Chain a multiple of 6 stitches, plus 3 additional stitches for turning.

Row 1: Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook, double crochet in each chain across. Turn.

Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), skip the first stitch, chain 3, skip the next 2 stitches, double crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * across, ending with a double crochet in the last stitch. Turn.

Row 3: Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), double crochet in the next chain-3 space, chain 3 – repeat from * to * across, ending with a double crochet in the top of the turning chain. Turn.
