Easy Skull Applique

Materials you’ll need:

Black and white yarn (or any colors you prefer)
Crochet hook (size appropriate for your yarn)
Scissors
Yarn needle
Abbreviations used:

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
sl st: slip stitch
Pattern:

Skull Base:
Using white yarn,

Make a magic ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (6 stitches)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (12 stitches)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Skull Eyes:
Using black yarn,

Attach the yarn to any stitch on the skull base.
Ch 1, 3 sc in the same stitch. (This creates the eye socket.)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Repeat the above steps to create the second eye socket on the opposite side of the skull.
Skull Nose:
Using black yarn,

Attach the yarn to the center stitch of the skull base (between the two eye sockets).
Ch 1, 3 hdc in the same stitch. (This creates the nose.)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Skull Teeth:
Using white yarn,

Attach the yarn to the bottom of the skull base, near the center.
Ch 1, 5 dc in the same stitch. (This creates the first tooth.)
Sl st in the next stitch to secure the tooth.
Ch 1, sl st in the same stitch. (This creates the second tooth.)
Repeat steps 2 to 4 to create a total of 4 teeth.
