Step 1: Back Panel
Chain 75 (or any multiple of 4 plus 3).
Row 1: Skip the first 3 chains (count as the first double crochet), double crochet in each chain across. (73 double crochets)
Row 2-32: Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), turn. Double crochet in each stitch across. (73 double crochets)

Step 2: Left Front Panel
Row 1: Attach yarn to the 32nd stitch from the right end of the back panel. Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), double crochet in each stitch across. (24 double crochets)
Row 2-16: Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), turn. Double crochet in each stitch across. (24 double crochets)

Step 3: Right Front Panel
Row 1: Attach yarn to the 32nd stitch from the left end of the back panel. Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), double crochet in each stitch across. (24 double crochets)
Row 2-16: Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), turn. Double crochet in each stitch across. (24 double crochets)

Step 4: Sleeves
Row 1: Attach yarn to the bottom corner of the left front panel. Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet), double crochet in the next 11 stitches. Turn and work on the other side of the chain, double crochet in the next 12 stitches. (24 double crochets)

Step 5: Edging and Finishing
Join the seams of the cardigan using a whip stitch or any desired method. Weave in any loose ends. Optionally, you can add a button or a closure at the front to secure the cardigan.
