Crochet Booties

Materials needed:

Worsted weight yarn in your desired color
Crochet hook (size G/4mm)
Scissors
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Buttons or other embellishments (optional)
Pattern:

Sole:
Round 1: Start with a magic ring. Chain 2 (counts as 1 double crochet here and throughout), work 11 double crochet into the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (12 stitches)

Round 2: Chain 2, work 2 double crochet in the same stitch as the chain 2. Work 2 double crochet in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (24 stitches)

Round 3: Chain 2, work 2 double crochet in the next stitch, 1 double crochet in the next stitch – repeat from * to * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 2. (36 stitches)

Upper Part:
Note: The upper part is worked in rows.

Row 1: Chain 2, turn. Work 1 double crochet in each of the next 10 stitches. (10 stitches)

Rows 2-8: Chain 2, turn. Work 1 double crochet in each stitch across. (10 stitches)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:
Fold the upper part in half, right sides facing each other, and sew the back seam using the yarn needle.

Attach a button or other embellishments to the front of the booties for added detail (optional).
