Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in your desired color(s)
- Appropriate crochet hook size for the yarn
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Instructions:
Note: This pattern is worked in multiples of 3 plus 2 stitches.
- Chain the desired width of the blanket in a multiple of 3, then add 2 extra chains. For example, chain 102 for a width of 33 stitches.
- Row 1: In the third chain from the hook, work 1 double crochet (dc). *Skip the next 2 chains, then work 1 bobble stitch in the next chain. To make a bobble stitch: yarn over, insert hook into the stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, repeat from * 4 more times in the same stitch, then yarn over and pull through all 6 loops on the hook, ch 2 to secure the bobble. Skip the next 2 chains, then work 1 dc in the next chain. Repeat from * to * across the row, ending with 1 dc in the last chain. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), *work 1 bobble stitch in the space between the next bobble from the previous row and the next dc, skip the next dc, work 1 dc in the next chain space. Repeat from * to * across the row, ending with 1 dc in the turning chain. Turn.
- Repeat Row 2 until the blanket reaches your desired length. Make sure to end on an even-numbered row.
- Fasten off the yarn and weave in any loose ends.
