CROCHET PLANT HOLDERS

$0.99

Crochet plant holders are a wonderful way to add a touch of handmade charm to your indoor or outdoor space. They provide a unique and decorative way to display your potted plants. Here’s a simple pattern for a crochet plant holder:

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn (or any yarn of your choice)
Crochet hook suitable for your yarn weight
Yarn needle
Scissors
Pot or container for your plant
Instructions:

Start by making a slip knot and chaining a multiple of 4 stitches. The number of chains will determine the circumference of your plant holder. A typical circumference is around 24-36 chains.
Join the last chain to the first chain with a slip stitch, being careful not to twist the chain.
Chain 1 to start the first round, which will be worked in continuous rounds.
Single crochet into each stitch around.
Continue working single crochet rounds until your plant holder reaches the desired height. You can make it as short or as long as you like, depending on the size of your plant.
When you’re ready to finish, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.
Thread the yarn tail onto a yarn needle and weave it through the last round of stitches to create a drawstring closure. Pull the yarn tight to cinch the top of the plant holder.
Secure the yarn by weaving the tail through the stitches a few more times.
Attach the yarn needle to the opposite side of the plant holder and weave the tail in the opposite direction to create a sturdy closure.
Trim any excess yarn and weave in any remaining loose ends with the yarn needle.
Place your potted plant into the crochet holder, adjusting the drawstring closure as needed to fit the pot snugly.
Hang your crochet plant holder in your desired location or place it on a table or shelf. Enjoy the beauty of your plant in its new cozy home!
