Free Christmas Headband

Materials you’ll need:

Worsted weight yarn in red, green, and white (or any Christmas colors of your choice)
Crochet hook appropriate for the yarn weight (usually size G or H)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Scissors
Pattern:

Headband Base (Red or Green):

Chain 65 (adjust the chain length if you need a smaller or larger headband).
Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook and in each chain across.
Chain 2, turn your work, and double crochet in each stitch across the row.
Repeat Step 3 until your headband measures the desired width (usually about 3 inches). Remember to end on an even-numbered row.
Christmas Tree Appliqué (Green):

Chain 7.
In the 2nd chain from the hook, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet.
Skip the next chain, and in the following chain, treble crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and single crochet.
Slip stitch into the last chain of the initial chain-7.
Fasten off and weave in the end.
