TV Lapghan Pattern

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn in your choice of colors (approximately 800-1000 yards total)
  • Crochet hook (size H/5mm or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: Approximately 14 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in double crochet (DC) stitch

Finished Size: Approximately 40 inches wide and 60 inches long

Pattern:

Note: This pattern uses US crochet terminology.

Foundation Row: Chain 130.

Row 1: Starting in the 4th chain from the hook, work 1 double crochet (DC) in each chain across. (128 DC)

Rows 2-160: Ch 2 (counts as 1 DC), turn. Work 1 DC in each stitch across.

Note: You can adjust the number of rows based on your desired length. This pattern provides a guideline, but you can make it shorter or longer depending on your preference.

Border:

Round 1: Ch 1, turn your work 90 degrees to work along the sides of the rows. Work 2 SC in the side of each row across the long side of the lapghan. When you reach the corners, work 3 SC to turn the corner. Continue working SC stitches along the remaining short side of the lapghan. Join with a slip stitch to the first SC.

Round 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1 DC), DC in each stitch around, working 3 DC in each corner stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first DC.

Round 3: Ch 1, SC in each stitch around, working 3 SC in each corner stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first SC. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
